I loved this day at Disneyland and according to Jackson Whiting it was the GREATEST day of his life. We had just sat down to eat our $100.00 worth of burgers, fries and beverages when the announcement for the Jedi Training would begin in 15 minutes. Jackson was very interested in getting a good seat so, he took Bailey by the hand and off they went. As the show started, hands were going up and kids were yelling "pick me". (little side note) For those of you that know me, you know that I am somewhat competitive. LOL!! Instantly I went into panic mode, somehow I had to get MY KID up on that stage! Knowing in my mind that Bailey (my shy/non competitive daughter) was closer to Jackson than I was, it was going to be up to her to get him up there. I scanned the audience looking for her hoping that they were close enough to get the JEDI MASTER's attention. All I can see at this point is a million hands and the tops of heads bopping up and down. Guess who was jumping a little higher and showing true Jedi pride? You guessed it MY KID! Finally I spot Bailey and she has the most amazingly happy grin on her face, true happiness! She knew even without me yelling across the crowd that she had to get her little brother up on that stage and she did. For the next 30 or so minutes we all had that same happy grin on our faces, true happiness. It was wonderful! Jackson was the last mini-jedi to try his hand at battling Darth Vader, so luck would have it as he took the victory from Mr. Vader the crowd went crazy! He was so happy, it was the BEST. A memory I will cherish FOREVER.
