braces are meant to go on 12-14 year olds and NOT 40-ish year old moms.1. When you are 12-ish you are in the prime stages of the "ackwards" so why not add more insult to injury?
2. It's semi-normal for most 12-14 year olds to sport braces, so it puts you in the "in" crowd.
3. It's super cool to have bright-neon-scream-out-loud-colors yelling to all that view your smile "hello! I am wearing braces and they are colorful!!"
4. Time flies MUCH faster when you are 12-14 and before you know it you are done.
5. Most 12-14 year olds have yet to aquire a taste for really good candy.
(the most painful part of the process for me, candy options SUCK)
