A whole lot of pain happens in our life when we allow ourselves to believe that we are powerless in any situation in our lives. Feeling powerless rips away so much of our hope, our dreams and our will to keep going when things are difficult.
The thing is, dear friend, we are never powerless. We may have every reason imaginable to believe that our power has been stripped from us, but there is nothing that could ever take away our most valuable power.
We always have the power to choose a different way. We always have the power to choose a different reaction. We are never powerless.
Sometimes we give our power away without knowing it. Sometimes we decide that what others think we should do is the only way we should do it. Sometimes we think that our past determines our future and that what has happened to us and the decisions we have made have taken all of our power away.
You are not powerless, beautiful soul. You just aren’t. You can get up and begin again. You can make different choices. You can take complete and total responsibility for the life you live and not give that responsibility to anyone else. When you decide to own your own life, you will be free. Your power is in taking responsibility in knowing and remembering that no one can make you feel badly without your consent. Ne one can control your decisions or your life without your consent, in knowing and remembering that every single day is a new day to make new choices and turn things all around.
Please stand in your power, dear sister. You are SO MUCH more powerful than you know. You’ve just got to stand in your power and use that power. You are not powerless.
