Happy 40th Birthday!

What a great time we had this weekend in Logan. We went to a "pool party" at the Traveller's, Parker went golfing with my Dad and Dan-Dan and to my surprise...he won! We had a yummy BBQ, went to the "shake shop", watched movies, sat under the stars an talked. I took Parker out for another one of our "famous Sunday" drives. He smiled when he saw the 55 sign and no cars in sight....he didn't love the history lesson I gave him on the houses we passed and who lived where and what happened 30 years ago to so and so. All of that was just a bonus to the real reason why we went up North. We (my cute friends) had a "HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY" bash. I loved seeing all of these wonderful people who at some point in our teeneage years we all became friends. For what we thought to be a 2 hour (at the most) dinner turned out to be a 4-5 hour dinner, dessert, laughing, reconnecting, good-old-time. It is amazing that 20+ years have gone by so quickly, kids, husbands, trials etc., but in that little time frame it felt like we had never left "the home of the Bobcats". It is great to reconnect with fabulous people, I doubt you can ever have too many fabulous people in your life. Thank you for taking the time to share yourself with me, I loved seeing you, talking to you and enjoying your great company. I look forward to next year!
ps. If you have friends you truly enjoy and have not seen them or talked to them in a while....change that! Life is far too short to not invite good people into your life....Have a party, celebrate, laugh until your face hurts and eat cake! (photos to follow.....right Trudy?)

That sounds like a blast! I wish I had funny friends that were turning 40 with me! Most of my friendsin school were not my age! :( I'm glad you had a good time away from "reality" you needed it!
