We LOVE Dan-Dan DAY!

Every Wednesday at 5:35pm until about 9:17pm for the past 7 years. My sister, Danielle has stopped by to celebrate "dan-dan" day. I love me sister for so many reasons, she is completely dedicated to me and to my kids. 7 years ago she packed up everything she owned, quit her job, left her friends and came down to the "big city" to help me be a mom. When I first found out I was pregnant I asked her to move down and live with us, go to school, make more money etc. All the big things city life lends to small town country girls like us. Months before I had my ultrasound she had mentioned to me that if I had twins she would leave it all behind and move in with us to "help". I will never forget the phone call on May 6th 2001 it went something like this: ME - hey, so... we had the ultrasound today.HER - Oh' it's a girl right, I knew it was going to be a girl. ME - yea you were right it's a girl and we get a bonus a boy too. LONG PAUSE.....HER - SHUT UP, you are such a liar! ME - pack your bags sister, you're moving to the city! To make a long story short, that is exactly what she did. What a blessing she is to us, she is an amazing Aunt that creates a memory every Wednesday night. Every single kid in my neighborhood knows and loves her, she even takes them on occasion. Last Wednesday she took 8 kids out to the Copperton Park for a sack lunch dinner. She buys the BEST sack lunch stuff, all the good stuff that I am too cheap to buy. Jackson and Hannah would much rather eat one of her sack lunches than one of my Sunday dinners. LOL She's a keeper! Thanks Dan-dan for all that you do for us, all of the fun memories you create, all the great traditions, the love, support, kindness and devotion you share. WE LOVE YOU MORE MUCHER!
