Happy December 1st 2008

That's right, in just 24 SHORT days Christmas will be here! Do you sense a hint of panic setting in? YES you DO!! I did not participate in "black Friday" nor did I throw myself into "cyber Monday". Therefore I am nowhere closer to finding that Holiday cheer that I am so desperatly seeking. Bailey has informed me that "all my friends' moms have their houses decorated for Christmas and 3/4 of the houses in our neighborhood are decked out in outside light displays". So, today even though my house is a mess, my dryer is broken and laundry is piled to the ceiling, my car is expired, and I have dishes over-flowing from the sink you will find me on my roof clipping lights to my roof for my children so we can blend in with our festive neighbors. I can't decide if I am getting old and hum-bug-ish or if I am just unmotivated and in denial. Hopefully tomorrow I can post that our home is full of outdoor lighting and our trees are up and in production. I would like to see that post myself! My thought is that I am going to be lucky to make it off the roof in one piece. As my friend Amy Mitchell says "it's the things we do for love". Wish me luck!
